Role Summary
As a Principal with A/B, you will lead client engagements and deliver best-in-class strategy consulting to our clients. In this role, you will manage client relationships directly and oversee consultant teams; address clients’ most difficult challenges using strategies that create sustainable competitive advantages and maximize growth; transform business models; and play a critical role in scaling our practices.
Principals are focused on steering engagements to success from start to finish. You will apply knowledge of business principles, develop actionable recommendations, and supervise work, including strategic due diligence, product development studies, change management plans, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities.
Primary responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day execution of a client project and taking ownership of its end products;
- Contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance approaches, developing tailor-made solutions, and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results;
- Guiding and developing individual team members and ensuring they have the support they need to learn, grow & be successful.
This is a full-time role, and we are looking for a senior-level consultant with a desire to grow with A/B long-term.
Who you are
- A seasoned strategy consultant with 5+ years of prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm or investment banking / PE fund OR have been a Principal or engagement manager in another firm (required);
- A servant leader on project teams that represents A/B as the client’s primary point of contact;
- An inspirational coach who will onboard, mentor, and invest in the professional development of junior consultants;
- A natural connector, dedicated to growing client relationships and driving revenue through continued engagements;
- An entrepreneurial spirit, constantly discovering new ways to serve clients based on the problems they are looking to solve;
- A general athlete and can perform other duties, assist with other projects, and revise project processes or deliverables as necessary.
